Here you will find information about me and the doula services I provide, birth stories from remarkable women and their loved ones, as well as all kinds of resources to enrich your own journey of discovery. And welcome also to BLISSFUL HERBS, the home of beautiful herbal teas and bath herbs to support wellness through every season of life.

All things henna!

Blissful Herbs now offers a range of beautiful henna (mehendi) supplies, perfect for your maiden blessing or mother blessing ceremony.

* Quick and simple for the beginner:

Golecha "magic" henna tubes. These are as easy to use as a texter. If you want a simple, no-fuss henna experience, try these. Each 25g tube is $3.00 and is enough to decorate the average belly and hands. This henna paste contains no PPD or ammonia. The paste dries on your skin, then when you peel it off, it leaves a lovely brown stain. The stain will wash off after a few  washes with soap and water.

It's certified organic and is triple-sifted for extra fineness. This henna is perfect to use in your own cones or in the Jaquard bottles. Complete instructions for the mixing process and successful application come with each packet.

I find henna is very popular among young women. It's a way they can express themselves without using toxic products or permanent methods like tattoos. They can use the henna powder to colour their hair as well as play with henna designs on their hands and feet. In her book, "I am Malala", Malala Yousafzai and her school friends used to henna their chemistry formulae on their hands! Great idea for committing things to memory ... just make sure you don't do it right before an exam!
